Rain or Shine: How to Make the Most of Your Pembrokeshire Camping Holiday

Comments Off on Rain or Shine: How to Make the Most of Your Pembrokeshire Camping Holiday

One thing we always say to our guests is that Pembrokeshire is beautiful in every kind of weather, and that’s exactly what makes a camping holiday here so special. Whether you’re waking up to sunshine over the coast or listening to the gentle sound of rain on your tent or caravan roof, there’s always something to enjoy.

Here at Rainbolts Hill Campsite, we’re lucky to be just two minutes from Newgale Beach, one of Pembrokeshire’s most stunning stretches of coastline. On sunny days, it’s hard to beat with long sandy walks, paddling in the sea, surfing, or simply sitting back and enjoying the view. It’s the kind of place where hours pass without you even noticing.

But even when the weather turns, your Pembrokeshire holiday doesn’t have to slow down. In fact, some of the best coastal moments happen when the skies are a little wilder. A blustery walk along the beach, watching the waves roll in, can be just as memorable, especially when you know a warm shower and a comfortable setup are waiting for you back at the campsite. That’s something we’ve always focused on here at Rainbolts Hill Campsite, Newgale. We want guests to enjoy the outdoors, but also feel looked after. Our luxury campsite facilities mean you can camp with clean, modern amenities that make a real difference.

Families often tell us how much they appreciate the safe, green space here. There’s plenty of room for children to run, play games, and just enjoy being outdoors in a safe and relaxed environment. It’s simple, old-fashioned holiday fun (the kind that doesn’t need screens or schedules!).

We know holidays are better when the whole family comes along, which is why we’re proud to be a dog-friendly campsite! With Newgale Beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path right on your doorstep, there’s no shortage of adventures for four-legged guests. Many of our visitors say their dogs have just as much fun as they do (if not more by the time they hit the beach!).

Another feature we’re pleased to offer is our EV charging points, making it easier than ever for our guests to enjoy a coastal camping break without worry of when or how they will charge their car. The EV charging points are based on the Newgale Holiday Cottages site, which is directly next to the campsite, making your stay that little bit more convenient.

For those occasional wetter days, Pembrokeshire still has plenty to offer. Cosy cafés, local pubs, nearby towns like St Davids, and attractions such as Pembroke Castle provide great options for getting out and about. Then it’s back to your pitch, perhaps with a warm drink, as the fresh coastal air settles in for the evening.

At the end of the day, camping in Pembrokeshire is about the experience, fresh air, freedom, and time spent together. Rain or shine, it’s a place that has a way of making holidays feel simple, memorable, and truly refreshing.

If you’re planning your next camping trip, we’d love to welcome you to Rainbolts Hill Campsite. We are just moments from the coast, with everything you need for a fantastic Pembrokeshire getaway.
