Has This Been Pembrokeshire’s Best Summer Yet?
Comments Off on Has This Been Pembrokeshire’s Best Summer Yet?As we begin to wave goodbye to another summer season, it’s hard not to look back and smile. What a summer it’s been.
From the beginning of July right through August, we’ve been incredibly lucky with the weather. Week after week of sunshine meant the campsite was full of happy campers, children making memories outdoors, dogs enjoying long beach walks, and plenty of evenings spent watching the sun set over St Brides Bay.
It’s the kind of summer we’ll be talking about for years to come.

One of the things we love most about running Rainbolts Hill Campsite is seeing guests arrive ready for a break, then leave a few days later looking completely relaxed. There’s something special about camping in Pembrokeshire that helps you slow down. Maybe it’s the sea air, maybe it’s the incredible scenery, or maybe it’s simply spending more time outdoors.
Being a dog-friendly campsite in Pembrokeshire, we’ve also loved welcoming so many four-legged visitors this year. From wagging tails on Newgale Beach to muddy paws after exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, it’s been lovely seeing dogs enjoying their holidays just as much as their owners. We know for many families, a holiday wouldn’t feel complete without bringing the dog along, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Although summer is coming to an end, one thing we’ve learnt over the years is that Pembrokeshire certainly doesn’t close for the season.
Autumn is one of our favourite times here. The beaches become quieter, the coast path takes on a different kind of beauty, and there’s something wonderfully peaceful about crisp mornings followed by cosy evenings back at the campsite. It’s the perfect time to escape for a few days, whether you’re travelling as a couple, with friends or bringing the dog for one more adventure before winter.
To everyone who chose to spend part of their summer with us this year, thank you. It really does mean the world to our family. And if you’re already thinking about an autumn camping break in Pembrokeshire, we’d love to welcome you before another season comes to a close.
